Sustainable diet is an important part of a sustainable lifestyle. With the promotion of social aesthetics or trends, food has gradually become a functional product, and it seems that we only eat to achieve a goal. As a result, we find that ourselves or our friends, more or less, have been trapped in a cycle of "dieting-binge eating-self-blaming-food waste" at some point in time. Therefore, we hope to create an experience and establish connections through an event, so that participants can re-examine their relationship with food and desire, and regain their original feelings and memories about food.
Workshop Design Phase: Space
In this workshop we wanted to offer participants the most comfortable environment that they could connect with the nature while exploring the relationship between food and themselves.
Workshop Design Phase : Activity
In 2 hours workshop, what activities could bring the life from thousands of people's story with food to this limited space. How do we help participants to listen to the voice of food? What activity brings visibility to the invisible emotions as desires, insecureness, and social pressures?
14:00
Arrive and collect food brought by participants or have participants select food from the available options.
Take turns introducing yourself and explaining why you are here.

Begin photography. Each person takes their chosen food and the written story with them (if not yet written, they can continue writing after the shoot). Regina and Kerstin simultaneously start shooting either in the kitchen or on the second floor (participants can choose which location to join). Once seated, participants start recording themselves answering two questions: 1. What does this food mean to you? 2. Why did you choose this food?
Each person is limited to 3-4 minutes.
Count the number of people who choose each type of food and photograph both the food and the written story.
The completed paper can be collected directly, and the unfinished ones can be continued.
Enjoy some snacks and socialize.
15:00
Lead everyone upstairs to view the exhibition, then go to the garden downstairs to read food stories.
15:20
- Regina introduces mindfulness eating experience, and Kerstin explains how to experience mindfulness eating. Everyone starts eating tofu brownies.
- Music is turned up.

15:40 Begin making small artistic installations about food and emotions.
Each person chooses a food they want to put in their memory installation, tears some paper from the written story, and names the feeling the food gives them.
Staff members help dry the installations.
