The funky, colorful and unique London Underground culture is my inspiration for this series. Each station has its own story, and each art on the walls tells a unique story.

Prototype
These experimental prototypes are made by deconstructed and recycled materials. The materials that have been ignored by people can have a second life on design. Through playing with all kinds of materials including cotton fabric, vinyl sheet, paper and play dough, inspired my final design.
Drawing
Outsoles are inspired by the Wall Arts at London Underground Stations
The whole series is about London Underground, and shoe outsole is the closet friend to the ground. Therefore, I decide to put the culture onto the outsoles.
Material
Leather and knit fabrics are a good combo for the design that represent the fuzzy and organized sides of the culture. Titanium represents the shining and immovable architectures in the city.
Final Sketch
To follow the London Underground’s funky, colorful and unique style, I designed a series of shoe outsoles as the main point. All the outsoles represents a part of the London Underground’s wall arts. Then, started from the outsoles, I designed a collection of 5 heels that are inspired by the experimental prototypes.
